piping.
3. Remove screws from lower volute housing and separate
volute halves.
4. Hold shaft with screwdriver in slot in end of shaft; un-
screw impeller from shaft.
5. Thread new impeller onto shaft. Hold shaft with screw-
driver and tighten impeller firmly hand tight.
6. Remount lower volute housing.
7. Lower pump into sump by piping, then reattach dis-

before operating by filling sump and running pump
through one complete cycle to be sure that switch works.
Switch Replacement (Figure 7)
NOTICE:
Float must be able to swing through its complete
arc without interference from sidewall of sump, plumbing
or any other object.
1. Unplug cord from power source.
2. Remove tether clamp screw and slide cord from clamp.
Unscrew T-handle to remove cord.
3. Insert new cord in tether clamp in same location on cord
with respect to float.
4. Tighten tether clamp screw. Connect T-handle to pump.
5. Check sump pump operation by filling sump with water
and observing operation through one complete cycle.
Failure to check installation with water
in sump can lead to improper operation, premature
pump failure and flooding.
