2.  INTRODUCTION

I

deal for repairing punctures on tubed and tubeless tyres fitted to agricultural and off road vehicles. Can also be used as a temporary/emergency

fix on cars and commercial vehicles. Repair strips allow tubeless tyres to be repaired without removing the tyre from the wheel. Also includes

parts and tools for general tyre servicing. Not to be used as a permanent repair for road vehicles.

3.  CONTENTS

4.  OPERATION

4.1.

Release residual air from the tyre in a safe, controlled manner before attempting any tyre repair.

4.2.

TUBELESS TYRE REPAIR:

4.2.1.

Remove object (causing puncture) from tyre if required..

4.2.2.

Clean/widen puncture hole with rasp.

4.2.3.

Fit repair strip in the middle of the insertion needle, with 50% protruding from each end. A small amount of glue can be applied along

the length of the repair strip (optional). A puncture can be repaired successfully without the use of glue.

4.2.4.

Push the repair strip most of the way through the tyre with the insertion needle, leave 20mm of the strip sticking out.

4.2.5.

Pull the insertion needle back out.

4.2.6.

There will now be a loop and 2 ends, that need to be cut off protruding from tyre.

4.3.

INNER TUBE REPAIR:

Having located the puncture, roughen the rubber in the vicinity (larger than the patch that’s going to be applied) with the abrasive

 scraper.

4.3.2.

Clean the area of the puncture with a solvent and cloth.

4.3.3.

Apply glue to the inner tube over a slightly larger area than the patch.

4.3.4.

Wait for the glue to dry partially (it will be tacky in about 10 minutes). The drying time will vary according to temperature and humidity.

4.3.5.

Press the patch firmly onto the tube.

4.3.6.

Place the inner tube on a flat surface and work

the patch with a smooth object to remove any bubbles and help bond the patch to the

inner tube.

4.3.7.

Remove the protective backing from the rear of the patch from centre outwards.

4.3.8.

Leave to dry completely before fitting back into the tyre. Chalk dust can be used to speed the drying process up.
