WARNING
The temperature of gear oil may be high. Be careful of the hot oil
splashing when twisting off the screw-cork to add or dump the oil.
Use protection tools and operate it carefully to prevent injury.

Oil level type
z
Wheel-side oil level.
Rotate the hub until the word “0lstand”on level position. Oil level is with
the oil overflowing the oil plug hole.
z
Axle oil.
Oil level is with the oil overflowing the oil plug hole or oil adding hole.

Check
z
Adding oil if the oil level go down after several minutes until the oil level keeps stable.
Notice:
Check the oil level every month especially after new driving axle installed or before the maintained
axle to work.

Oil Replacement
z
Replace oil after the first 500 hours, and then do it every 1000 hours. The oil should be replaced
at least one time a year.

Brake oil
z
Refer to
CHAPTER IV 2.2
Selection of Oil, Fuel and Coolant,
for selection of brake
oil.
Notice:
Other brake fluids without ZF permission are not allowed. Deflate the axle brake after replaced or
maintained.

Working temperature
z
The continuous operation temperature should be not over 90
℃
. If over 130
℃
, stop and check the
brake system and axle.

Lubricant grease
z
Use multi-role lubricant grease
with
the
follow characteristics.
Lithium based lubricant grease dropping point is 170
℃
, NLGI2. It must be anti-corrosion,
water-resistance and extrusion stability. Inject grease from
grease fitting once a week.
Check the tightening torque of connecting bolts of the frame,
shaft and rim regularly (do the first check after 50 hours ).
