5.2 Changing INMARSAT Settings
SCOTTY already configures the system. Therefore, usually no change of
settings is required .
Change Satellite:
To change the satellite, use the Terminal window of the EMSHSD software.
Enter MENU4, and press “O”. See previous chapter for details and the
recommended default setting.
LES ID:
To change your INMARSAT provider, use the Terminal window of the
EMSHSD software. Enter MENU3, and press “I”. See previous chapter for
details.
Forward ID:
The INMARSAT provider defines the forward ID for the system. It is coded
into a hardware plug, accessible through a hatch on the right side of the
SATCOM Rack. Contact SCOTTY to provide a new plug when the forward ID
needs to be changed.
