4 Diagnostics
4.1 EMSHSD SW
The EMSHSD software is software installed on the SATCOM Rack. It allows
easy access to the INMARSAT transceiver, one of the major parts of the
SATCOM Rack, for setup purposes, and for diagnostics of the overall system.
The software can be started directly from the Windows Desktop.

The field System shows the time and date of the transceiver.
Flight Information displays the current IRS information, as received by the
transceiver from the SCOTTY IRS system. Please note that the Heading
displayed is the true heading, not the magnetic heading.
Satellite shows the INMARSAT satellite that is selected at the moment,
together with the azimuth and elevation data for the antenna pointing.
