4-4 INFEED TABLE AND FENCE

The infeed table (P fig. 4.18) and the fence (G) feature lever control for quick position adjustment within a range
of 10 mm.

To adjust the infeed table: release the lever by turning the knob (B) counterclockwise and move the index on the
plate according to the amount of material to be removed. Each notch on the plate corresponds to a movement
of 1 mm approx.
Refasten the knob well.

The position of the infeed fence can be adjusted in the same way by means of knob (A).

4-5 FENCES

4.5.1

FENCE AT OUTFEED OF RIGHT VERTICAL UNIT

Position the fence (F fig. 4.19) (depending on the tool diameter) by loosening screws (G).
Maintain a distance from the tool cutting edge of 4-5 mm.
Before refastening the screws, check perfect alignment with the other right fences.

4.5.2

FENCE AT OUTFEED OF LEFT VERTICAL UNIT (SUPERSET 23/23E)

The fence (I fig. 4.20) is aligned with minimum tool diameter of the left vertical unit during testing. This setting
is normally 4-5 mm and should not be changed.
If any fence adjustment has to be made for special machinings, proceed as follows:
Lengthways positioning:

loosen screw (K)

Transverse positioning:

loosen screws (L)

Height adjustment:

loosen screws (N)

To obtain perfect parallelism with the right fence, loosen screws (X).
The pressure of fence (I) can be adjusted by means of screws (Y).
