2-4 POWER CONNECTIONS AND EARTHING
The following power connections and checks must always be done by specialized electricians.
Make sure the power line of the facility is able to withstand machine power rating and check the mains voltage
corresponds to that of the machine.
Note:
The best operating condition for the machine is to be supplied with the exact voltage indicated on the
identification plate in fig. 2.2; the machine is however able to adapt to higher or lower voltages with a
tolerance range of +/-5%.
(eg., a machine with operating voltage V=380 has a tolerance range from 360 to 400 V.)
Beyond this range, regulate the power voltage.
Read the total power input (Amp.) on the machine identification plate (fig. 1.2)
Consult the table below for correct cable cross section area and to fit “DELAYED INTERVAL” type fuses
upstream of the machine.
Isolate the machine electrically and connect 3 power leads (phases) to the terminals L1, L2, L3 of fig. 2.2.
Connect the yellow-green lead (earth) to terminal (PE) or marked by symbol
and the neutral lead, if fitted.

If the machine is connected using a mobile power lead, use a flexible rubber lead marked H07RN-F or A07RN-
F.
The relative socket must comply with DIN 49463 standards and IEC309-1 and IEC309-2 international standards.
Carefully fasten the lead retainer (G fig.2.2); a device (sequence meter) prevents the machine starting up if
connections do not conform with correct cyclic sequence.
If any heads fail to start:

Interrupt mains power
- Invert two phases on the terminal board
- Try start-up again
NOTE: The accessories pack contains a supply of fuses. The type and gauge are indicated on the wiring diagram
supplied with the machine.
All documentation concerning wiring diagrams and certificates is situated inside the accessory case.
