18.4 Respirator system
Check the respirator systems regularly. If it is leaking or
damaged, it must be replaced!
The filter must be replaced if it is damaged or clogged
and does not provide enough air.
The breathing tube must be replaced if it is broken or
leaking.
The battery needs to be charged when the low battery
alarm sounds.
Wipe the outside of the respirator system components
with a soft cloth. Never use water!
The filter should be replaced together with the prefilter.
18.5 Replacing the air filter

The service life of the filter and prefilter is 12 months.
With intensive use, the condition of the filter should be
checked regularly at shorter intervals. If necessary, re -
place the filter parts more frequently than every 12
months.
Step 1:Remove the filter cover by pressing the latch on
the filter cover.
Step 2: Remove the cover.
Step 3: Take the filter out of the cover.
Step 4: Remove the prefilter.
Step 5: Clean or replace the spark arrester if necessary.
Step 6: Insert the new prefilter and filter into the cover.
Step 7: Put the cover with the new filter back into the
housing.
