2.2 Application areas, use according to the intended purpose
The FLOYD seat pan subframe is designed as a sub-structure to mount seat pan
systems and seat pans. The load including seat pan should not exceed 120 kg
and any type of seat pan can be adapted without problems. FLOYD is exclusively
suitable for use by an accompanying person.

2.3 Use not in accordance with the intended purpose / warning guidelines
• Correct usage of the seat pan subframe requires precise and careful training
of the accompanying person.
• Practice using FLOYD on an even surface. You must also find out about the
impacts of changing the centre of gravity and how FLOYD reacts. Try tilting
and changing the centre of gravity without a passenger first of all.
• The product may not be used without supervision.
• Stairs may only be attempted with accompanying persons.
• The max. load (see Point 8) may not be exceeded.
• The seat pan and the push bar/push handle may not be used to carry the
product. Only carry it by fixed frame parts.
• The clamp lever on the push bars and the quick release on the back
must always be tightened.
• FLOYD may not be used as a showering chair and may not be subjected
to sea water and sand.
• Always tighten the screws again after replacing parts.
• Do not climb on the footrests when entering and leaving the seat pan.
• Apply the brakes when entering and leaving the seat pan.
• Do not use FLOYD if it has defective, worn or missing parts.
• Only use accessories and spare parts made by Schuchmann, otherwise you
will endanger the user.
• Only use the seat pan subframe if all components have been correctly
mounted and adjusted.
