Do not use gasoline or any fl ammable solvent to clean the air cleaner as it can cause
fi re or explosion. Just use water with soap or a non fl ammable solvent.
ATTENTION:
6. Maintenance of Air Cleaner:
A dirty air cleaner might cause obstruction in the air passage and result in bad working of the generator. In
order to avoid this undesirable effect, it is recommended to follow the maintenance instructions for cleaning
the air cleaner.
7. Cleaning of the Fuel Valve Shell:
The valve shell prevents that any water that is inside the fuel tank goes to the carburetor. If the engine is not
used for a long period of time, it is recommended that the shell be cleaned.
A.
Close the valve putting the lever in the OFF position and remove the sedimentation cup and the O’ring;;
B.
Clean the cup and the O´ring with gasoline or a non fl ammable solvent;
C.
Reinstall the cup and the sealing O´ring. Figure 9.4.
D.
Open the valve placing the lever in the ON position.
Never turn the generator engine on without the air cleaner as it might result in wearing
