· If the cookware has been heated up for a long time or has been placed in an oven,
wear oven gloves when holding the handles. If using an oven, please note that the
plastic handles are only heat-resistant up to max. 180° C.
· Only use suitable heat sources. When using a gas stove, ensure that the flames do not
rise above the base.
Note:
When using an open flame (e. g. gas stove, rechaud), the
exterior of the base may become discoloured. This does not affect the functionality of
the item.
· Cookware with a non-stick coating, with wooden or plastic handles, or with glass lids
is not dishwasher-safe. We recommend washing the cookware by hand.
· When cleaning the parts that are dishwasher-safe, please use the detergent recom-
mended by the manufacturer.
· The rechaud is a high grade steel-/slate combination. Slate is a natural product. So, the
cutting line partly may be imperfect looking. This is no reason for claims.
Instructions for use on induction hobs
Note:
These instructions are only valid in cases where this item is suitable for use on
induction hobs (see base and/or label on packaging):
· The high speed at which induction hobs heat up means that it takes just 1 minute for
the base of your cookware to heat up to temperatures that lie above the spontaneous
ignition temperature of various oils and fats. As such, it is important that you do not
heat up empty items. If oil accidentally catches fire, do not extinguish the fire with
water – explosion hazard! Extinguish the flames with a suitable cover or with a woollen
blanket. If your cookware overheats, ensure that the room is well ventilated. This is
especially important in cases where the non-stick coating of coated cookware dissolves
as a result of overheating. Allow the cookware to cool down on a switched-off hob.
