· Only use fat that is fresh, clean and suitable for the fondue set. Old, used and/or un-
suitable fat can catch fire even at low temperatures. Danger – fire hazard. Do not put
out with water; instead use a woollen blanket or a suitable cover to extinguish the fire.
· Do not heat your cookware for too long when empty or when it contains only a
small amount of fat – fire hazard. If the cookware overheats, allow it to cool on a
switched-off hob. Do not cool with cold water!
· Do not overheat the fat. Overheated fat can ignite itself. Danger – fire hazard. Do not put
out with water; instead use a woollen blanket or a suitable cover to extinguish the fire.
· Special care should be taken when moving the fondue set when its contents are hot.
Do not touch any hot surfaces; only ever hold the fondue pot by the handles. Wear
oven gloves.
· Always allow the fondue set to cool down completely before cleaning.
· Please ensure that your ceramic hob is free from salt granules and other similar par-
ticles. Salt granules and similar items on the ceramic hob can lead to scratches being
created on the stove.
· In order to avoid energy loss, place the pot in the centre of a suitably sized hob. The
flame size of the gas hob should also be adjusted to suit the pot.
Note:
When using
induction hobs, it is especially important to ensure that the hob is not too large for the
base of the pot. An over-sized hob poses the risk of the cookware not connecting
properly or even at all. In addition, it can cause the sides of the cookware to overheat,
which can damage the non-stick surface of coated pots and pans. This handling error
does not represent grounds for complaint and is not included in the terms of the
warranty.
