Removing parts such as the mouth guard or rubber face
molding can expose edges that may injure you in an
accident. Always use approved SCHUBERTH parts when
replacing shields, screws, or any other parts. A weakened
helmet will not provide head protection.
Warning:
Do not repaint the helmet!
Repainting of your helmet is not recommended. Paint and
thinner can damage the helmet and reduce its ability to
provide head protection in an accident.
Caution:
Do not carry the helmet on the motorcycle’s helmet storage
lock while riding in order to avoid exhaust pipe burns, tire
abrasion, and strap damage to the helmet.
Caution:
Keep the helmet outside the reach of pets to avoid the
helmet being damaged by chewing, scratching or other
mistreatment.
H. MAINTENANCE AND CArE
1. OUTER SHELL
To clean the helmet shell, you can use water, soapy water or one of
the commonly available motorcycle shampoos, cleaners, polishes
and plastic cleaners, or cleaning fluid. The use of water and
soapy water is usually sufficient. Make sure when using the other
cleaning materials that these do not come into contact with the
visor, since these can cause damage to the visor and coating.
Warning:
Never use motor fuel, thinners, glass cleaner or other solvents
to clean the helmet! Your helmet can be seriously damaged
by these substances without visible damage.
Warning:
A helmet damaged or weakened by a cleaning agent may not
provide head protection in an accident resulting in serious
personal injury or death!
Warning:
Never use hot or salt water to clean the helmet. Your helmet
can be seriously damaged by this treatment without damage
being visible to you.
2. CHIN SECTION
Please check the functionality of the chin part at regular
intervals.
Caution:
Alterations to the strap buckle are not permitted. In particular,
you should not oil or grease the metal components of the chin
section lock. Repairs may only be carried out by the SCHUBERTH
Repair Service.
