Use of the rechargeable battery pack MN 81300
The following points must be
observed when using the re-
chargeable battery pack to en-
sure that you can use it with-
out difficulty whilst travelling.
The battery pack is a sealed
maintenance-free unit. Do not
attempt to open it or replace
cells.
Never throw the battery pack
into a fire.
Please do not throw the bat-
tery pack away once its service
life is over – take it to a battery
collection point instead.
To avoid shortening the life of
the pack, avoid exposing it to
strong sunlight, moisture,
chemicals or extreme temper-
ature shock.

Charging of the battery pack:
The rechargeable battery pack
is charged by connecting a 12 V
power supply to the socket X1.
The green LED 1 of the battery
pack will light up once it is con-
nected to the power supply.
Once charging commences the
yellow LED 2 will flash several
times. The yellow lamp will go
out once the battery pack is
fully charged (Fig. 1). After
around 3 seconds the LED will
light up continuously through-
out the entire charging period.
If the battery pack has only a
very low charge then the charg-
ing cycle will commence with
a pulse charge and the LED 2
will flash during this time. LED
Nos. 3 – 7 indicate the avail-
able capacity (20% - 100%) of
the battery pack. The charging
process stops once a value of
100% is reached and LED 2 will
go out. Recharging can only
be commenced again once the
charge drops below 100%. If
the warning light (LED 3 flash-
ing) is observed whilst in use
then the battery pack should
be recharged again. If the
charge falls to 0% then the
consumer section will discon-
nect automatically from the
battery pack.
