Safety Instructions
•
Please read the instructions completely and carefully.
•
Make sure the power supply of the opener or operator has been removed before connecting the photocell.
•
The photocell is not approved for use on life-threatening machines or devices. The photocell serves only as
an additional safety device.
•
Please use the photocell only within the specified range.
Installation
•
The photocell should be installed more than 20 cm above the ground and the distance between transmitter and
receiver must be more than 0.5 meter.
•
Avoid direct sunlight on transmitter and receiver and other direct light irradiation.
•
Avoid other light barriers within easy reach.
•
Make sure that the transmitter and receiver are firmly fastened.
•
DANGER! Remove the power supply of your opener / operator.
Connect the power supply (12-24 V AC/DC)
to the provided terminals on the transmitter and receiver.
•
Look in the manual of your opener / operator to see if the drive has a 'normally open contact' or 'normally closed
contact'.
o
If the drive has a 'Closer Contact', connect the NC and COM terminals with the intended terminals to your
opener / operator.
o
If the drive has a 'Opener Contact', connect the NO and COM terminals with the intended terminals to
your opener / operator.
o
The terminals on the drive where you connect a photocell are dependent on the opener/operator
manufacturer.
•
Restore the power supply after checking the correct connection of the photocell.
If the LED of the transmitter
lights up, then the transmitter and receiver are not aligned correctly.
Align transmitter and receiver correctly
so that the LED is no longer lit.
