2.1 Operating
The back stop (E) (see
fig. 2.1
) is adjusted on the back of the shears by loosening
the handles (F) so that the back stop (E) can be moved to the desired cutting
length. Now the plate to be processed (G) must be fitted against the angle hold
(H) which can be adjusted to the desired cutting angle. Finally the handle (I) is
pressed to the bottom. The back stop lowers to hold the plate during cutting. The
upper knife is pushed through the plate
– now pull back the handle (I) so the knife
will rise simultaneously with the back stop lets go of the plate. The shears are now
ready for a new cutting operation.
