ENGINE FUEL SYSTEM
7.5
DANGER
To avoid injury from burns, allow the mower
to cool before removing the fuel tank cap and
refueling.
A. FILLING THE FUEL TANK
Use clean, fresh unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane
rating of 87 and a maximum of 10% Ethanol.
Fill to the bottom of the filler neck insert (approximately
5-1/2 gallons at the beginning of each operating day. See
Figure 7-6.
DO NOT over fill. The empty space in the fuel tank allows
the fuel to expand. Overfilling the fuel tank may result in
fuel leakage, damage to the engine and/or damage to the
machine's emsissions system.
DO NOT use E85 Fuel. Using E85 Fuel will cause severe
damage to the engine.
To avoid personal injury or property damage, use extreme
care in handling gasoline. Gasoline is extremely flammable
and the vapors are explosive.
Extinguish all cigarettes, cigars, pipes and other sources
of ignition.
C. CHANGING ENGINE OIL FILTER
After the first 20 hours of operation, replace the engine oil
filter. Thereafter, replace the oil filter after every 100 hours of
operation or yearly, whichever occurs first. Refer to Engine
Operator’s Manual for instructions.
