Boiling water
● Never remove the water container
from the base (or replace it) while the
appliance is switched on.
-Remove the water container from its
base.
-Release and open the lid, and fill the
container with water to the desired lev-
el, observing the Min. and Max. mark-
ings.
-Before closing the lid and placing the
container back on its base, ensure that
the appliance has not yet been switched
on.
-Insert the plug into a suitable wall
socket and press the On/Off switch.
-The boiling process begins. After reach-
ing the boiling point, the appliance is
automatically switched off by the inte-
gral steam cut-off device.
-If you want to interrupt the boiling
process, set the On/Off switch to its Off
position.
-To pour hot water, remove the con-
tainer from its base.
-To prevent hot steam from being emit-
ted, ensure that the lid remains closed
while pouring out the water.
Descaling
Depending on the water quality in your
area, lime deposits may build up on the
heating element. It is advisable to re-
move any such deposits at regular in-
tervals. A mixture of 0.5 liters of water
to two tablespoons of vinegar essence is
suitable.
-Pour the descaler in.
-Switch the appliance on and let the
solution reach boiling point.
-Leave it to take effect for a short peri-
od.
-To clean the container after descaling,
rinse thoroughly with clean water.
● Do not pour descalers down enamel-
coated sinks.
General cleaning and care
● Before cleaning the appliance, ensure
it is disconnected from the power supply
and has cooled down completely.
● To avoid the risk of electric shock, do
not clean the kettle and the base with
water and do not immerse them in wa-
ter. Do not clean under running water.
● For cleaning, a slightly damp, lint-free
cloth may be used.
● Do not use abrasives or harsh clean-
ing solutions, and do not use hard
brushes for cleaning.
