The Remote Keyless
Entry (RKE) trans-
mitter allows you to
lock and unlock your
vehicle and perform
other functions while
outside the vehicle.
RKE functions
include:
(Unlock):
Press this button to
unlock all the doors, liftgate and fuel
fill door.
(Lock):
Press this button to lock
all the doors, liftgate and fuel fill door.
The doors will not lock if the driver’s
door is open.
Key
The vehicle’s key, used for the ignition
and all locks, is located inside the RKE
transmitter.
• To extend or retract the key, press the
button on the RKE transmitter.
Security System
• To arm the content theft-deterrent
alarm system, press the
(Lock)
button on the RKE transmitter.
• To disarm the system, press the
(Unlock) button on the RKE transmit-
ter or turn on the ignition.
Comfort Open Windows
The Comfort Open feature allows you to
use the RKE transmitter to lower the
vehicle’s windows. This is especially
helpful when entering the vehicle on
warm days. Lowering the windows lets
warm air inside the vehicle escape,
enabling the interior to be cooled more
efficiently.

Driver Information Center
Warnings and Messages
The Driver Information Center (DIC)
provides a variety of vehicle warning
messages (depending on optional
equipment) if a problem is sensed in a
vehicle system.
To acknowledge a message and clear it
from the display:
• Press the OK button on the infotain-
ment system (CD30, CD30 MP3
radio).
• Press the multifunction knob
(if equipped) on the infotainment
system (CDC40 Opera radio).
• Press the left thumbwheel
(if equipped) on the steering wheel.
Some urgent messages cannot be
cleared from the DIC display. These
messages require that your vehicle be
serviced immediately.
If you have a current OnStar subscrip-
tion, and a warning message appears,
you can press the OnStar button and
speak to an OnStar Advisor. In many
vehicles, OnStar Advisors can access
certain diagnostic information and can
tell you how serious the problem is and
what you should do about it.
