The label is based on the Japanese Consumer Law on laser
equipment (JIS C 6802)
2. Loading the Battery

Remove the battery lid.
②
Check both polarities (+/-) of the battery
snap fastener and 9-V battery 6F22 (006P)
before inserting the battery in place.

Reinstall the battery lid.
Caution
•
Replace the battery immediately when the low-battery mark on the LCD lights.
Measurements while the low-battery mark is lit may affect the accuracy, possibly resulting
in malfunction of the thermometer.
•
When the low-battery mark lights warning that the battery power is insufficient, replace the
battery with a new one as described in "Loading the Battery" above.
•
The battery is a factory set for testing. So the battery life may be shortened.
3. Putting Vinyl cover onto the Thermometer
It is recommended to use the thermometer with the vinyl cover attached. The vinyl cover will help
absorb shock in case the unit is dropped accidentally, and protect the unit from becoming dirty
during use. The thermometer is shipped in a vinyl cover.
1) Hold the opening of the vinyl cover wide when inserting the unit.
2) Fix the snap fastener (button) on the vinyl cover to secure the unit.
* When removing, take off the lens cap first from the hand strap. Be careful not to lose it.
4. Setting the Laser Marker
1) While pressing the measurement key, press the laser marker ON/OFF key simultaneously to
set the laser marker ON or OFF.
2) When the laser marker is ON, press the measurement key to active the laser marker. At this
time
is displayed on LCD. When the setting is OFF, the laser marker is not active even
if the measurement key is pressed.
