7.2.2 FIRING UP AND FUNCTIONING OF A BOILER IN THE UPPER
COMBUSTION SYSTEM
Fuel delivery and the SAS UWT boiler firing up, as in the upper combustion
system, is done using chute door. Prior to firing up operation, furnace and ash
pan door should be closed. Put on the coal batch, already delivered into
combustion chamber (a black coal for energetic purpose, the fine grade of 20%
humidity) crimpled pieces of paper reaching the edge of the hopper door. Then put
on it pieces of wood (kindling fuel). Next, fire it up, close the chute door, switch on
the controller, and set the required temperature.
Boiler’s operation in the upper combustion system run with cyclic fuel
delivery. After complete combustion of fuel batch delivered into combustion
chamber and removing the ashes, the next chamber batching operation is
performed, and firing process is repeated, what requires applying the kindling
fuel again.
