Locate the fan blade (3) and locking nut (2). Position the blade over the metal axle of the
motor and line up the groove on the blade with the pin protruding from the metal axle. After
the blade has been put on, tighten the locking nut in anti-clockwise direction, taking care not
to over tighten. As the bolt is secured in the opposite direction the spinning blade, the
locking nut will tighten gradually with the operation of the appliance, (Figure 3). Test the
fan blade (3) by rotating it with your hand. Make sure there is no contact with the grille. The
fan blade should rotate freely.

The safety grill has 3
clips that now need to be lifted to allow the fan to be completely
assembled. Align the top locking clip to the top of the rear guard that has already been
secured to the fan motor. Lock the side locking clips in place and align the bottom hole for a
security nut and bolt. Undo the security lock and bolt and thread the aligned holes in the
security tools before doing up the bolt with a pair of pliers or similar tool. (Figure 4)
