CAUTION
Set the power supply circuit breaker
to OFF before proceeding with the
power supply work.
• Otherwise, you may receive an electric
shock.
Check the operation of the ground-
fault circuit interrupter.
• You may receive an electric shock if the
unit is operated while the interrupter is
malfunctioning.

Do not use water from a well or hot spring.
• Depending on its quality, water from a well or hot spring may corrode the pipes or the
effectiveness of the heat exchanger may be reduced if the water has a high mineral content and
these minerals end up clogging the pipes.
Do not install the unit in the following locations.
• Failure to do this may cause a fire, electric shocks and/or unexpected accidents.
-Locations which are not flat and level or which are unstable
-Very humid locations
-Locations failing to satisfy the installation restrictions
-Locations with poor drainage
-Locations where operating noise and/or vibration will be a nuisance
-Locations where the minimum temperature is –25

C or below
-Locations where inflammable gases may leak
-Do not install the unit onboard a ship or in a vehicle.
-Locations with inadequate spaces for servicing, repairs, etc.
-Do not install the unit on a stand suspended from the ceiling.
Do not sit on the unit or apply force to
the pipes.
• An accident may occur or you may
burn yourself as a result.
Properly insulate the heat pump
pipes and joints.
• You may burn yourself if the insulation
peels away.
• The unit’s functions may be degraded.
Take the distance to the neighboring
homes into account when selecting a
location to install the unit.
• Select a location where the operating
noise and vibration will not be readily
transmitted and which will not
inconvenience the neighbors.
When snow has piled up, remove it
from and around the unit.
• Snow allowed to pile up on and around
the heat pump unit and tank unit may
cause malfunctioning and/or failures.

adequate voltage for the unit.
• Otherwise, there is a risk of combustion
or a fire.
