Learning the

Settings

Display

The display options let you customize your
phone’s screen (see page 76 and 77).

Backlight

lets you choose how long the

display screen and keypad are backlit after
any key press is made. Options include:

8 Seconds

15 Seconds

30 Seconds

Always Off

Greeting

lets you customize the 16

characters of text displayed on the first
line of your phone’s display screen in
Standby mode. You can create or change
your banner by pressing

to delete

the existing greeting. Enter characters
(see “Entering Information Using
Keypad” on page 26).

Contrast

lets you change the contrast

setting. You can choose from:

Highest

High

Medium

Low

Lowest

Version

displays the version number of

the software, hardware and the PRL
(Preferred Roaming List) installed on
your Sprint PCS Phone.
