MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
• Failure to perform the following procedures when and as directed can cause damage to the machine and cause
the machine to operate improperly.
• The lubricating intervals listed in the following tables apply only to normal operating conditions. In harsh
environments, including those with dusty or corrosive air, extreme temperatures, heavy loads, frequent
operating times, and long duty cycles, lubricating intervals should be shortened.
Daily Maintenance and Inspection
• Inspect the machine for loose or missing components.
• Check the operation and maintenance manual is the cab.
• Clean the cab.
• Check the seat belt and buckle for damage or wear. Replace as necessary.
• Check all controls for smooth operation and make sure they return to their neutral position.
• Make sure all safety decals are in place and are legible.
• Make sure safety equipment is in place and in operating condition.
• Check for fluid leaks.
• Lubricate the work equipment. (See page 5-18.)
• Check the escape tool. (See page 3-44.)
• Check the fire extinguisher. (See page 3-44.)
• Check the engine oil level. (See page 4-7.)
• Check the engine coolant level. (See page 5-32.)
• Check the hydraulic oil tank level. (See page 5-47.)
• Drain water from the fuel/water separator. (See page 4-10.)
When Required
• Check the air filters. (See page 5-31.)
• Replace the primary air filter and secondary air filter according to the air filter restriction indicator.

• Check the track tension. (See page 5-55.)
• Replace the bucket teeth. (See page 5-68.)
