1 Introduction
All iPhone 4 owners know what it’s like. You’re
in the middle of reading messages from your
friends, posting updates, watching videos or
something else entirely when your iPhone runs
out of juice! The Sandberg BatteryCase for
iPhone 4+4S (Referred to as “the battery” or
“the case”) extends battery life considerably.
The battery fits the back of your iPhone, like a
standard protective cover, and you can charge
your iPhone without any fuss. The BatteryCase
can easily be charged via a USB port.
2 Fitting

1. Connect your iPhone to the battery’s
connector.
2. Fit the upper part of the case as shown in
figure 1.
3 Charging
3.1 Charging the battery
1. Connect the enclosed USB cable between the
micro USB port on the battery and a USB port
in a computer, or potentially a USB to AC
adapter, such as Sandberg item no. 440-21.
If you are charging via an AC adapter, the
charge speed is doubled compared to using
a computer’s USB port.
2. The battery LEDs switch on and you can then
start charging. The charging status can be
read in the LEDs as follows:
When batteries are fully charged, all four LEDs
will light constantly.
NB: If the battery is switched off, you can read
the charging status in the LEDs by pressing the
button.
3.2 Charge iPhone from the battery without USB
connection
Connect your iPhone to the connector as shown
in figure 1. Switch on the battery using the button
on the base of the battery. Hold down the button
for 2–3 seconds. Charging begins.
The battery will now charge your device and will
therefore drain itself during the process. The
LEDs indicate the battery status, as shown in
section 2.1, and can be viewed by pressing the
button.
