CLEANING
Draining the washing machine in an emergency
If there is a power outage, drain all remaining water before removing your laundry.
1.
Unplug the washing machine from the electrical outlet.
2.
Open the
filter cover (A)
by using a coin or key.

Prepare a bowl.
The remaining water may be more than you expected. Use a
large bowl.
4.
Pull out the
emergency drain tube (C)
and put the end of the
emergency drain tube (C)
into a bowl.

5.
Hold the
emergency drain cap (B)
at the end of the
emergency
drain tube (C)
and slowly pull it out.
6.
Allow all the water to flow into a bowl.
7.
Reinsert the emergency drain cap and the emergency drain tube.
8.
Close the filter cover.

For models with the filter safety cap
•
To open, push in, and then turn the filter safety cap
counterclockwise. The spring in the cap will make opening the
cap easy.
• To close, turn the filter safety cap clockwise. As you turn the
cap, the spring will make a rattling sound. The rattling sound is
normal.
