Changing Ring Count

You can specify the number of rings your phone sounds before answering
an incoming call. It is preset to 6 at factory.

1. Press

key to enter the menu mode.

2. Press

or

key until

is displayed.

3. Press

key to enter the menu. The current setting is displayed.

4. Press

or

key to select the desired option.

The following options are available:
•

After 2 Rings

: The phone will answer after 2 rings

•

After 4 Rings

: The phone will answer after 4 rings.

•

After 6 Rings

: The phone will answer after 6 rings.

•

Toll Save

: The phone will answer after 2 rings only if you have

new messages. If a new message has not been
recorded, the phone will answer after 6 rings.

5. Press

key to save the setting.

Resetting the Base

You can reset the base to the factory default. If you reset the base, all
the redial and speed dial memory and the recorded messages are
deleted and the menu settings return to the default status.

1. Press

key to enter the menu mode.

key to enter the menu. The base asks you to confirm your

selection.

4. Press

key to save the setting. The LCD window displays

You can operate the answering system from the handset. Before you
operate answering features using the handset, you have to turn the
answer mode on from the handset.

You can operate answering features using the handset when the
answering mode is set to either on or off on the base.

To Turn the Answer Mode On or Off

Press

key and then

key. The LCD window displays

and the

icon appears on the handset.

Handset Used

displayed on the base. If there is any new message, the

icon blinks.

Note:

When the handset displays

ANSWER MODE

, if you do not press

any key for answering operation within 7 seconds, the phone returns to
the Standby mode.

To Listen To Messages

In the answering mode, press

key.

PLAY

appears in the LCD

window. The handset announces the total number of new messages, and
then the messages are played.

When all the messages are played, the phone announces “ End of
message” and shows

ANSWER MODE

in the LCD window.

The following options are available during playback:

• To skip to the next message, press

key.

• To skip back to a previous message, press

key.

• To stop listening before you reach the end of message, press

key. To resume, press

key again.

• To exit the answer mode and return to the Standby mode, press

key or

key.
