3. The phone will say the name of the contact and say “Connecting” to
dial the number. If you said Contacts , it displays your contacts on the
screen. Select a contact to dial the number.
To send a text message using Voice Dial:
1. Activate voice recognition by pressing and holding . (The phone
prompts you for a command.)
2. Say Messages .
3. The phone displays the Messaging menu on the screen. Select Send
Message .
4. Follow the prompts to enter text (see "Text Messaging" on page 43).
Voice Service Settings
Voice Dial Confirmation
By default, your phone provides automatic voice confirmation to verify that the
correct number has been dialed. You can change these settings to
Automatic ,
Always Confirm , or Never Confirm .
To change voice dial prompts:
1. Press for Menu .
2. Select Settings > More... .
3. Select Accessibility .
4. Select Voice Service .
5. Select Choice Lists .
6. Press the navigation key up or down to select Automatic , Always On , or
Always Off , and press .
Changing Voice Dial Prompts
By default, your phone provides audio prompts such as “Please say a command”.
You can change these prompts to
Prompts or Names .
To change voice dial prompts:
1. Press for Menu .
2. Select Settings > More... > Accessibility .
3. Select Voice Service .
4. Select Sound .
