7-7-3 CD/VCD audio output

The audio of CD and VIDEO-CD bypasses the signals of SIC7(TC9420F) in BIC8,9 and BIC1 A/V decoder and
outputs them to DATA0. Also they are outputted in stereo 2 channel(L/R channel) via D/A conversion and filtering
of AIC1(PCM1720/AK4324).

7-7-2(a) AC-3 5.1 channel

The system CLK generated by AIC3 built-in PLL circuit is provided for A/V decoder(BIC1) and audio D/A

converter (AIC1, AIC2)and Sync. of each channel is agreed.
DVD audio data outputted from BIC1 A/V decoder are supplied to DATA0 for 2 channels and to DATA0-2 for
5.1 channel. Then, LRCK is outputted by 48KHz or 96KHz.
Front L/R channel is outputted in DATA0, rear L/R channel in DATA1 and center and sub woofer channel in
DATA2. DATA0 data are outputted to front L/R channel after D/A conversion and filtering of

AIC1(PCM1720/AK4324).

DATA1 data are ouputted by analog signal of D/A converter of AIC2(PCM1720E) and to rear L/R via HPF
after filtering.
DATA2 data are converted into analog signal by D/A converter of AIC3(PCM1723E) and one channel is
outputted by center output via post filter and HPF.
The other channel of AIC3(PCM1723E) is outputted by subwoofer signal through amplifier of -5.0dB and LPF.

7-7-2(b) Bass redirection(2 Channel down mixing)

If the user do not have sub woofer speaker and the disc is recorded by 5.1 channel, center, rear, sub woofer
bass signal can be downmixed in 2 channel front L/R.
If there is a sub woofer speaker, it is outputted directly to subwoofer without down mixing.
