4. Check if the
grounding work is
properly done.
• After grounding has been completed, check the
ground resistance with the earth tester and check if
the result satisfies the standard value.
• If the ground resistance value does not meet the
standard value, bury the grounding rod deeper or
add more grounding rods to meet the standard
value.

5. Connect the
grounding rod with
the air conditioner.
• Make sure that grounding wire is connected to the
grounding terminal on the outdoor unit.
Gas leak test and vacuum drying
Gas leak tests on the outdoor unit is done initially from the factory, but you must test for gas leakage after the installation.
1. Purge the pipe and run vacuum test. (Pressure should not increase for a minute.)
2. Insert the nitrogen gas so that pressure reaches minimum 2kg/cm
2
.
3. Use soap water to check the leakage on the connection part.
4. For final vacuum test, leave the outdoor unit for 24 hours under pressure of 28kg/cm
2
and check for any signs of pressure
decrease.
5. Discharge the nitrogen gas.
6. Keep the outdoor unit in vacuum status.
7. If length of the pipe exceeds the standard length, charge additional refrigerant.
8. Open the outdoor unit valve and circulate the refrigerant to the indoor unit so that pressure of the entire pipe becomes
even.
