Malfunction

Possible reasons

Recommended action

Upstream pressure

drops below the ad-

justed set point.

Foreign particles blocking the plug

Remove foreign particles.

Contact SAMSON's After-sales Service when

parts are damaged.

Seat and plug are worn or leak.

Contact SAMSON's After-sales Service when

parts are damaged.

Pressure tapped at the wrong place

(regulator with external control line).

Reconnect the control line at another point.

Do not connect the control line at pipe bends or

necks.

Regulator or K

coefficient too

large

Check the sizing.

Change K

coefficient, if necessary or in

stall a different sized regulator.

Contact SAMSON's After-sales Service.

Compensation chamber in the wrong

position or too small (with steam).

Reconnect compensation chamber at a different

place or replace it (see 'Accessories' in Annex).

Control line blocked

Clean the control line and screw fittings.

Strainer blocked.
