INSTALLATION
The grill Plates should be installed on a
counter, and to a minimum distance of 150
mm. from the walls taking in consideration
that both the counter and the walls should
be able to bear a temperature increase of
65 K.
The installation of the GRILL PLATES,
should be only and exclusively carried out
by authorized personnel and on the basis
of the applicable standards, according to
the regulations of the destination country;
with special emphasis in the obligation of
installing such equipments in places pro-
perly ventilated, both for the air inlet as
well as for the exhaust of the combustion
products.
TYPE OF GAS USED
Except for an specific requirement the
equipments are regulated for running with
G.L.P. "Butane 28-30 mbar - Propane 37
mbar" being indicated in each machine.
To be adapted to the natural gas of the
injectors and the "PIPA" rubber-holder,
according to the section "CHANGE OF GAS
TYPE".

ner.
(see page 7)
R
EGULATING MINIMUM LEVEL
Light the burner an and place the knob an
the small flame. Gently pull out the tap
knob. A screw is visible beside the spindle.
With an electrical screwdriver, turn the
screw clockwise to reduce the level of the
flame, or anti-clockwise to obtain a stron-
ger minimum flame.
R
EGULATING PRIMARY AIR
For all the burners and vent holes of
MODULAR models the primary air entrance
to the burner will be opened and closed by
means of and airs shutter "set 1-2" which
slides on the injector carrier '4' releasing
the screw "3" (Fig.1,page 8)
The valeues are the following:
Natural Gas
= Approx. opening of 6 mm.
G.L.P. Ga
s = All the holes opened
In the EUROPA model vent holes, the regu-
lation is carried out through opening
and closing the screw 5.
The values are the following:
Natural Gas
= Screw completely closed
G.L.P. Gas
= Screw completely opened
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
GRILL PLATES must only be installed and
converted to gas supplies other than that
stated on the label, by qualified techni-
cians, in accordance with current regula-
tions.
It is advisabie to have the equipment chec-
ked periodically, by a qualified technician.
The equipment is for industrial use and
must be handled by specialized personnel.
CLEANING THE PLATE BEFORE USE
The surface of the grill plate is protected
with a harmless transparent varnish. This
should be removed before cooking food.
Clean it off using hot water and a plastic
scouring pad, or abrasive cleaner. When
the píate is clean, wipe oil over the surface
and then heat the píate.
While the plate is beginning to warm, and
before putting the food on it, wipe it with a
rag to remove the excess oil and any var-
nish residue.
When the surface is clean, it is ready for
cooking food.
CHANGE IN GAS TYPE
A) Change of the burners injectors.
1º Release the screw 3 and slide the set
1-2 until the cock, and tighten again the
screw 3.
2º Unscrew the set 1-2 and proceed to
change injector.
3º Tighten the set 1-2 and leave the pri-
mary air entrance according to previous
paragraph.
Change of injector in Europa model vent
holes.
1º Release moveable nud 6 take out injec-
tor and change.
B) Change the nozzle or the gas connection
according to the applicable
regulation.
C) Change the plate Characteristics for the
one pertaining to gas.
D) Regulate minimum according to pre-
vious paragraph.
CLEANING THE UNIT
Each time you use the grill plate, scrape off
any food residues using a spatula, catch
them at the ends of the plate and put them
in the bin. After this operation, remove the
fat or oil from the surface of the grill plate
using a damp rag. This avoids unnecessary
smoke, and carbon build-up on the plate.
Two
tips
for easier cleaning:
1º Do not pour oil directly from the bottie
on to food on the hot plate.lt is better to oil
the food first. oil can also be put in a spray
bottle and sprayed directly on to the grilled
food.
2º Do not keep the píate very hot (Position
Big Flame) for longer than necessary.
At higher temperatures, the food sticks
more. lt is also a waste of energy.
L
IGTHING THE GAS
The control has three positions.
(Fig.2,page 9)
In position "0" the unit is off.
In position 'Big Flame" the unit is at full
power.
In position "Small Flame" the unit is at
lowest power.
1º Push the knob and turn it to the posi-
tion, Big Flame.
2º Light the burner.
3º Keep the knob pushed in for 10seconds,
while the safety device warms.
Turn the control to the "Big Flame" position
for 5 minutes, to heat the píate to its wor-
king temperature quickly. Then turn the
control to position "Small Flame".
The píate can be used all day in the "Small
Flame" position , as it is adjusted to keep
the plate's working surface at the correct
temperature for cooking foods such as
hamburgers, fried eggs,sausages and
bacon. For thicker foods such as large fish
and thick steaks, increase the power by tur-
ning the knob to the "Big Flame" position.
Remember to turn it back to "Small Flame"
as soon as you have finished.
VALVES
The valves should be periodically greased
every 3 years, the operation should be
carried out by qualified personnel, acor-
ding to the applicable standard.
