7.5 SETTING ABSORPTION STAGE TIMER
The charger transitions from Stage 2 - Absorption Stage (
Section 4.3.2
) to Stage 3 - Float
Stage (
Section 4.3.3
) at point “E2” (
Current Curves in Figs 4.1 and 4.2
) under one of the
following 2 conditions (
whichever occurs earlier
):
a) When the charging current tapers down to 10% of the rated “Bulk Stage Current
Capacity” of the charger i.e. (i) 5A +/- 0.5A for SEC-1250UL or, (ii) 3A +/- 0.5A for
SEC-2425UL
OR
b) When the 4 Hr / 8 Hr Absorption Stage Timer (
Selected by DIP Switches “S3” and
“S4”- See Table 7.3 below
) runs out.
