AC Ground Terminal (12, Fig 6.1b)
• Stud: #6 (UNC, 32 Threads Per Inch)
Neutral to Chassis Ground Bonding
• Neutral “N” is bonded to the metal chassis of the inverter through a loop of wire con-
necting the “N” terminal on the Line side of the GFCI to the chassis of the inverter.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. When this unit is installed in vehicles and hard-wiring
connection is used to feed the AC output of the inverter to the AC Panel-
board / Load Center in the vehicle, it is to be ensured that Ground Fault Circuit
Interrupter(s) [GFCI] are installed in the vehicle wiring system to protect all
Branch Circuits.
The GFCIs in Table 8.3 have been tested to operate satisfactorily and are accept-
able. Other types may fail to operate properly when connected to this inverter:

8.5.4 Hard Wiring of AC Output – Sizing of Wiring and Breaker
Sizes of Line and Neutral conductors and breaker are shown in Table 8.4. Sizing is based on
safety considerations specified in UL-458 and NEC-2014. Please refer to “Notes for Table 8.4”
for details.
Example of AC cable types: (a) 12/3, Loomex / Romex (NMD-90) - Non Metallic sheathed;
Dry: 90°C. This is a 3-conductor (Insulated Line, Neutral and bare Ground), AWG #12 cable
used for residential wiring (b) AC cord types: SE, SEOO, ST, STO, SJ, SJEOO, SJT or SJTO
For firm connection when using set screw type of terminals for connecting stranded wire,
use “Cord End Terminals” for termination of the bare Line and Neutral ends of the conduc-
tors and “Ring Type of Terminal” for termination of the bare end of Grounding Conductor.
For convenience, the following terminals have been provided:
For Line and Neutral conductors: 2 pieces of Cord End Terminals for conductor size AWG#12
For Neutral conductor: 1 piece of Ring Terminal for #6 stud and for conductor size AWG#12
