The GFCI is provided with the following buttons:
- Reset Button: In case the GFCI is tripped, it can be reset by pressing the “Reset Button”.
NOTE: For the Reset Button to operate, the inverter has to be in ON condition and
should be outputting AC power to the internal Line Side of the GFCI (no Fault / shut-
down condition).
- Test Button: This button is used to test if the GFCI is operating normally. Test the GFCI
periodically to ensure that it is operating normally.
The GFCI will trip due to the following conditions:
- Leakage or Ground Fault (Leakage of 5 to 6 mA)
- Neutral to Ground bonding (connection) on the load side of the GFCI
!
CAUTION!
1. Each of the NEMA5-20R outlets is rated for 16A continuous and 20A intermit-
tent. Do not draw more than this rating from each outlet. For drawing the
full rated output capacity of 25A of the inverter, use AC output connections
for hardwiring (13, Fig 6.1b) as described at Section 8.5.2 below.
2. Do not feed the output from the GFCI receptacle to a Panelboard / Load
Center where the Neutral is bonded to the Earth Ground. This will trip the
GFCI. If the AC output is required to be fed to a Panelboard / Load Center,
use hardwiring connections (please see details given at Section 8.5.2 below).
3. If an extension cord is used from the GFCI outlet, please ensure that the cord
is 2-Pole Grounding Type with NEMA5-15P / NEMA5-20P plug.
8.5.3 AC Output Connections for Hardwiring
For connecting the AC output of the inverter to an AC Panelboard / Load Center, sepa-
rate connections are available for hard wiring. Please refer to Fig 6.1. Compartment (11,
Fig 6.1b) contains terminals for AC output. The compartment is covered by Cover Plate
(8, Fig 6.1a) with the help of 4 screws. The AC wiring enters through the metal Strain
Relief Clamp (7, Fig 6.1a). After the connections have been made, tighten the clamp.
AC output connections are as follows:
Terminal Block (13, Fig 6.1b) with Line “L” and Neutral “N” Terminals.
Please note that Line terminal “L” of the AC Terminal Block (13, Fig 6.1b) and the Line
terminal on the Line side of the GFCI (6, Fig 6.1a) are internally connected together
at the PCB. Similarly, Neutral terminal “N” on the AC Terminal Block (13, fig 6.1b) and
the Neutral terminal on the Line side of the GFCI (6, Fig 6.1a) are internally connected
together at the PCB
• Hole diameter: 4.15 mm / 0.16"
