8. Corrections
Here’s an area where SAM really shines. Anyone who has struggled to make a
correction to a transaction on our old cash registers – and that includes all of us – is
really going to like the simplicity of the SAM SPT-‐4500.
If you make an error on the Key Pad – touching
[5]
instead of
[2]
– just touch
[Clear]
. Clear erases numeric entries.
There are two Void buttons, each marked with a big red X. The Last Item Void (the
upper button) erases the last item entered. The last item entered will be at the
bottom of the Check.
The other Void button erases highlighted entries. In our transaction let’s say we
want to change the number of Big Island Brochure from 5 to 4. First we highlight
that line in the Check. How? Just by touching it. The highlighted entry will turn
yellow.
