3-3 Installation
3-3-4 Take-Up Spool Installation (2-Station)
1. Before using the PRINTER. Install the TAKE-UP SPOOL as described in the figure.
2. Push up the green lever toward and then lift up to open the paper cover.
3. Unroll the paper about 400mm.
4. Ensure that the paper is being fed from the bottom of the roll.
5. Place the roll into the concave bottom of the PRINTER as shown in Figure3-4(G).
6. Put the leading edge of the paper over the PRINTER as shown in Figure3-4(H).
7. Close the paper cover slowly until it locks firmly.
8. Fold the end of the thermal paper about 20mm in length. Slide the leading end of the folded paper
into the groove on the TAKE-UP SPOOL and wind it onto the SPOOL two or three turns as
illustrated Figure3-5-

9. Put the removed GUIDE WINDING into the end of the TAKE-UP SPOOL WINDING and fix the removed
GUIDE WINDING in the direction as shown in Figure3-5-

10. Place the TAKE-UP SPOOL into the PAPER-SUPPLY behind the PRINTER above the roll
paper as illustrated Figure3-5-

11. If the paper is loose, rewind the TAKE-UP SPOOL to tighten the paper.
