USING YOUR SALTON ELITE TOASTER
1.
Before using your appliance for the first time, wipe the surface of the toaster with a soft
damp cloth. Use the toaster without bread for the first time. Plug in the toaster, press
down the bread carriage and set the browning control to the maximum position. This
will ensure that you burn any dust that may have fallen into the toaster during
production or transport.
You may notice a slight smell or even a little smoke during this initial use.
2.
To begin toasting, plug in the toaster and choose the desired browning setting. Place the
bread in the slots and press down the bread carriage handle until it clicks into place.
The heating element is now activated and the bread automatically centered by the
centering guides to ensure even browning.
3.
The toasted bread will pop up automatically when the selected time has elapsed. The
browning selection used will depend on personal taste and preference.
