No air input is allowed in the suction pipe.
- With rigid pipes, use supports with collars so that the pump does not
bear the weight of the pipes.
- The setting up of a strainer (croos section 1 mm maxi) avoids any
damage of the pump by suction of stones and foreign particles.
- Nominal diameter of the suction/delevery ports (tapped): G1“ (26-34).
- Carrefully seal the pipes with adequate products.
- If the pump is in suction: immerse the strainer (at least 200 mm deep).
If necessary ballast the flexible pipe.
- The mounting of a dry-running protection device avoids any dry-
running of the pump.
5.3 Electrical connections
DANGER! Connections and checks should be carried out by a
qualified electrician, in compliance with current local
standards.
The power supply of the pump must include a circuit having a
residual current difference device (earth fault breaker) acting at no
more than 30 mA.
See name plate of the motor for electr ical character istics
(frequency, voltage, nominal current).
The single-phase motors have an integrated thermal protection.
For connection with the main network, use a cable conforms with
the applicable standards:
3 conductors (2 earth).
For connection with the feeder system, to use a cable conforms to
the standards in force
Means for disconnection must be incorporated in the fixed wiring in
accordance with the wiring rules.
In case of cord damaged, make it replace by a qualified
electrician.
DO NOT FORGET TO CONNECT THE EARTH.
A connection error would damage the motor. The power
cable must never touch the pipe or the pump ; make sure
that it is sheltered from any humidity.
6. STARTING UP
CAUTION! The pump must never be operated dr y, even
briefly.
6.1 Filling, degassing
Pump in suction (See FIG. 1)
- Make sure that all accessories connected to the pump discharge
are open (taps, valves, spray pistols).
- Open the pump discharge valve
(3)
.
- Open the pump suction valve
(2)
.
- Unscrew the filling plug
(4)
.
- Put a funnel into the port and completely fill the pump.
- Screw the plug all the way back in.
- If the discharge pipe is a hose, hold it upright to a height of about
0,5 metre until the pump is primed.
6.2 Operation
CAUTION! The pump must not be operated in a no-flow
condition (discharge valve closed) for more than 5 minutes.
We recommend a minimum flow of 800 l/h (13 l/min.).
7. SERVICING - MAINTENANCE
No special servicing in operation; always keep the pump and the
motor perfectly clean.
For a prolonged shutdown, if there is no risk of frost, it is best not to
drain the pump.
- If the pump is exposed to frost, it should be drained by removing
4.3 The pump
- Centrifugal, horizontal, Single-stage.
- Self-priming.
- Tapped ports, axial suction shifted upwards, radial delivery towards
above. Sealed shaft with a mechanical seal.
4.4 The motor
Single-phase
: Dry motor, two poles.
Capacitor in terminal box.
Thermal protection with automatic reset (single-phase version).

4.5 Accessories (optional)
The use of new accessories is recommended.
Protection, control and automatic management ACSON • Suction
kit • Isolating valves • Non-return valves • Strainer-foot valve •
Bladder tank • Vibrationless sleeves • Dry running protection (ME kit)
• On-off control device...
5. INSTALLATION
(See FIG. 1)
5.1 Installation
Install the pump in a place that is easy to reach, protected from frost,
and as close as possible to the place from which water is drawn.
Install the pump on a foundation block or directly on a smooth, level
floor.
Attach the pump using the two notches on the spacer-support
(8-mm bolting).
CAUTION! Bear in mind that the altitude of the place of
installation and the water temperature may reduce the suction
head of the pump.

5.2 Hydraulic connections
- By flexible hose with a reinforcement or rigid screw.
- The diameter of the suction pipe must never be smaller than the one
of the pump.
- Limit the horizontal length of the suction pipe and avoid all features
that cause losses of head (tappers, bends ...
).
