APPLICATION
The professional two-channel, bass-reflex sound box is recommended for use in larger
rooms by professionals, as stage sound, or for bands. The sound box can be installed on
a stand, or be laid on its side as a stage monitor. The sound box can be connected to an
amplifier or a supported active sound box. Recommended active pair PAX 42BT, available
separately.
COMMISSIONING
Use a speaker cable of the desired length and a cross-section suitable for the power output
of the amplifier. This is normally a good quality copper wire of at least 2 x 1.5 mm
2
. Fit the
cable with a SPEAKON connector. For further instructions contact a qualified technician!
Make all connections of the sound system with the power supply disconnected! Have
all components of the sound system switched off. Route the microphone cable, audio
connection cables and speaker cables separately from the power supply cable! Before
powering the appliance, check the connections for correct configuration! Ensure that all
connections are stable and free of short circuit fault, and that the volume-control is set
to minimum position, in order to avoid damage to the speakers due to a sudden blast of
noise when turned on!
Maximum Volume Setting
All speakers should be run in before normal use. During the first 30 to 50 hours of operation,
it is recommended to operate the speakers with up to 50% volume setting! Higher volume
levels - in some cases - can result in distorted, low sound quality. This can be due to an
excessively high input signal, or a higher degree of distortion associated with the low power
output of the amplifier being used. In order to avoid this, decrease the volume.
The maximum volume of the system is the one that can still be heard in good quality without
distortion.
• Increasing the volume any further will not increase power output and will increase the
distortion of the system! This can damage the speakers, and lead to defects.
• Only set the volume to a level until no distortion can be heard! Sound quality can be
influenced by the settings of the compression (rendering) program used for the MP3, etc.
tracks and by the volume/tone setting of the given external audio device or mobile device.
• If a microphone is connected, place it as far away from the sound box as possible to avoid
excitation! Do not turn the speaker toward the microphone, as feedback will damage the
speakers. When using a microphone, increase the volume carefully and, if you notice
any excitation, immediately rewind the control and, if necessary, move the sound box to
another position! The microphone should always be behind the sound boxes.
TROUBLESHOOTING
In case of any malfunction, turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains. Try to
turn it back on later. If the problem persists, please review the list below. This guide may
help you identify the issue, provided that the appliance is connected properly. Consult a
specialist if necessary.
The speaker does not work, no sound is emitted.
• The amplifier is not switched on.
- Check the condition of the connected amplifier.
• The speaker cable is not connected correctly.
- Check the connection cable for correct configuration.
• The volume control setting is incorrect.
- Check the setting of the connected amplifier, so that neither the master volume-control,
nor the volume-controls of input devices are set to minimum position. Check the volume
setting of the external signal source as well.
• Audio cables are connected incorrectly.
- Check audio cables for correct connection corresponding to standards.

ALKALMAZÁS
A professzionális két utas, bassz-reflex hangdoboz alkalmazása nagyobb helyiségekben
és színpadi, zenekari célokra javasolt szakemberek számára. Állványra helyezhető, illetve
fekvő helyzetben monitor hangdobozként is üzemeltethető. A hangdoboz csatlakoztatható
erősítőhöz vagy megfelelő aktív hangdobozhoz. Javasolt aktív párja a külön beszerezhető
PAX 42BT.
ÜZEMBE HELYEZÉS
Alkalmazza a kívánt hosszúságnak és az erősítő teljesítményének megfelelően nagy
keresztmetszetű hangszóróvezetéket. Ez általában legalább 2 x 1,5 mm
2
jó minőségű réz
vezetéket jelent. A vezetéket SPEAKON dugóval kell ellátni. A további részletekért forduljon
szakemberhez!
A csatlakoztatást a hangrendszer áramtalanított állapotában végezze el! Legyen
kikapcsolva a hangrendszer minden tagja. A mikrofonkábelt, az audio csatlakozókábeleket
és a hangszóróvezetéket tartsa távol a hálózati vezetéktől! Mielőtt először feszültség
alá helyezi a rendszert, ellenőrizze a bekötések helyességét! A csatlakozások legyenek
stabilak és zárlatmentesek, a hangerő-szabályozó pedig álljon minimum pozícióban, hogy
a bekapcsoláskor esetlegesen keletkező zajlökés ne károsítsa a hangsugárzókat!
A maximális hangerő
Minden hangsugárzót be kell járatni a rendeltetésszerű használatot megelőzően. Az első
30-50 üzemórában csak 50%-os hangerővel javasolt működtetni! Nagyobb hangerőállásnál
- bizonyos esetekben - előfordulhat torz, gyenge minőségű hangzás. Ezt okozhatja
a túlságosan nagy bemenő jel vagy az alkalmazott erősítő alacsony teljesítményével
általában együtt járó magasabb torzítás. Ennek elkerülése érdekében csökkentse a
hangerőt.
A rendszer maximális hangereje az, amely még jó minőségben, torzításmentesen
hallgatható.
• A hangerő további növelésével már nem emelkedik a kimenő-teljesítmény, sőt megnő
a rendszer torzítása! Ez káros a hangsugárzókra nézve és meghibásodáshoz vezethet!
• Csak addig hangosítsa fel, amíg nem hall torzítást! A hangminőséget befolyásolhatja az
MP3 stb. műsorszámot előzőleg tömörítő (előállító) program és a külső audio készülék,
mobilkészülék hangerő/hangszín beállítása.
• Ha mikrofont csatlakoztat, helyezze azt minél távolabb a hangdoboztól, hogy a gerjedést
kiküszöbölje! A hangdoboz ne irányuljon a mikrofon felé, mert a gerjedés károsítja a
hangszórókat! Mikrofon használatakor óvatosan növelje a hangerőt, és ha gerjedést
tapasztal, azonnal tekerje vissza a szabályozót, és szükség esetén helyezze másik
pozícióba a hangdobozt! A mikrofon helye a hangdobozok mögött van.
HIBAELHÁRÍTÁS
Hiba észlelése esetén kapcsolja ki a készüléket és húzza ki a hálózatból! Később próbálja
meg visszakapcsolni. Ha a probléma továbbra is fennáll, tekintse át a következő jegyzéket.
Ez az útmutató segíthet a hiba behatárolásában, ha egyébként a készülék előírás szerint
van csatlakoztatva. Szükség esetén forduljon szakemberhez!
Nem működik a hangszóró, nincs hang.
• Az erősítő nincs bekapcsolva.
- Ellenőrizze a csatlakoztatott erősítő állapotát.
• A hangszóróvezeték nincs megfelelően csatlakoztatva.
- Ellenőrizze a csatlakozókábel helyes csatlakoztatását.
• A hangerő-szabályozó beállítása nem megfelelő.
- Ellenőrizze a csatlakoztatott erősítő beállítását, hogy ne legyen minimumra állítva se a
fő hangerő-szabályozó, se a bemenetek közvetlen szabályozói. Ellenőrizni kell a külső
jelforrás hangerőbeállítását is.
• Helytelen az audio kábelek csatlakoztatása.
- Ellenőrizze az audio kábelek megfelelő csatlakoztatását, illetve azok szabvány szerinti
bekötését.
