The equipment requires minimal maintenance.
Components damaged by use must be replaced.
The parts of them are indicated in the graph
corresponding spare parts.
9.1. Pre-set regulator. This component is pre-set
and sealed in accordance with the established
regulatory requirements. It can only be replaced
by another that is identical.
9.2. Filter unit on waist belt and flow indicator.
The unit has a removable vessel where the
carbon canister is housed which must be
replaced, with the compressed air supply
disconnected, if its colour changes from white to
pink, or an unusual smell is noticed in the mask.
It is also suggested that the filter is periodically
subjected to a test of differential pressure at full
flow, and if a level of 0.7 bar (10 psi) is reached
the filter must be replaced.
The filter is replaced by releasing the vessel,
unscrewing the filter and then proceeding in
reverse order with the replacement filter.
The vessel should be washed with soapy water
and then dried. Replace it if it shows any signs
of deterioration or discolouration. Mount ensuring
that there are no leaks.
9.3. Recommended cleaning products:
- Solution of water with neutral soap.
- Disinfectant
- Antistatic cloth for the visor of the mask.
