12. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
12.1. EXPECTED USE
The COMPACT 235 machine is a completely pneu-
matic system that is used for the manual washing of
parts that are dirtied with water-based or solvent-ba-
sed paint.
The COMPACT 235 machine is intended for use by
qualified staff.
By the term “qualified”, one means staff that have
been instructed and trained by the employer on the
use of the machine and the risks that this use may
incur (Art. 22, Paragraph VI,Title III of Legislative
Decree 626/94 on the obligation of staff training
when introducing new working systems).
In particular, the users must also be instructed based
on this user and maintenance manual and the machi-
ne must only be used for the production for which it is
suited, as indicated in the manual.
These obligations are also required for the operators
involved in the transport, installation, maintenance
and dismantling of the machine, each dedicated to
his own competences.
Given that this is a complex machine and its use is
only allowed by instructed and trained staff, access
to the area belonging to the system is forbidden to
those who have not received the necessary training
by the employer.
12.2. WARNING PICTOGRAM
The warnings, legal obligations and the prohibitions,
which must be followed in order to operate safely and
to prevent accidents, are shown on the adhesive
labels applied to the COMPACT 235 machine.
- Read the instruction manual before opera-
ting with the unit.
- Electrostatic electricity.
- Avoid near souces.
- No fire near. No smoking.
- Wear safety glasses and personal protecti-
ve devices.
- Wear protective gloves and suitable
clothing.
- Tubes in deposit.
- Damaged tubes.
- Check the liquid level.
12.3. CLOTHING AND P.P.E.
The operator must wear gloves rubber anti-solvents in
order to ensure that the hands do not come into contact
with the products used for washing.
The operator should always wear goggles to avoid
spraying the product, you can contact with eyes.
The use of water-based products not exclude the use of
appropriate clothing and risk assessment in relation to
the working environment in accordance with Law
626/94.
12.4. SAFETY USE
It’s expressly forbidden to use or allow the use of COM-
PACT 235 by anyone who has not read completely,
understood and assimilated exactly what is written in
this manual. It’s expressly forbidden to use or allow the
use of COMPACT 235 by unqualified personnel or
personnel have not been properly trained.
The COMPACT 235 was built for washing parts or
small objects that are soiled with paint solvent and
water based.
If the cleaners come in contact with skin or eyes, wash
with plenty of water and seek medical area.
It’s recommended that you familiarize yourself with the
control devices and their functions before starting work.
It’s expressly forbidden to place objects of sizes and
weights inadequate working on the floor.
12.5. NUMBER OF OPERATORS
Only one operator is needed to operate the machine.
The presence of other staff is only possible during the
phases of installation, maintenance and dismantling.
In all instances, the staff that use the machine, occasio-
nally, must answer to the requisites described in the
previous paragraph.
