OBSERVER 4100 USER GUIDE

Speed

The Speed menu controls the speed type (SPDL 

and SPDO) events.

Use the remote control to configure the following 

options:

SPEED SOURCE:

 Select 

VEHICLE

 to obtain vehicle 

speed data from the vehicle’s own speedometer, 

or 

GPS

 to obtain this data from the GPS signal.

SPEED UNIT: 

Select 

MPH

 to use miles per hour or 

KPH

 to use kilometers per hour.

ALARM SETTING:

 Select the following options for 

LOWSPEED

 and 

OVERSPEED

:

ENABLE:

 Select 

ON

 to enable this SPEED event.  

Select 

OFF

 to disable it.

THRESHOLD:

 Use the number keys on the remote 

control to enter the speed at which the event is 

triggered.

ALARM:

 Select 

ON

 to enable the ALM LED on the 

front of the Observer 4100 when the THRESHOLD 

speed is reached and an event is triggered.  This 

LED continues to flash after an event is triggered 

until the configuration menus are accessed.

LOCK:

 Select 

ON

 to lock the video of the recorded 

event when the THRESHOLD speed is reached (not 

allowing it to be overwritten).
