8 Problem Solving
Problem Possible cause Possible solution
Check that the Emergency-
plug is connected to the
vehicle. The LED indicator
lights up blue first, then the
LED indicator lights up red.
The contact with the vehicle
is broken. 1. Remove the Emergency-
plug from the vehicle.
2. Switch off the
Emergency-plug.
3. Wait 5 seconds.
4. Switch on the
Emergency-plug.
5. Insert the Emergency-plug
into the vehicle charging
port.
After completing the self-test,
the LED indicator lights up
red.
The Emergency-plug is
damaged. Always follow local protocols.
After completing the self-test
and inserting the Emergency-
plug in the vehicle, the LED
indicator remains green.
The wiring in the vehicle’s
charging port is defective.
The Emergency-plug can no
longer make contact with the
vehicle. Please contact Total
Safety Solutions.
The wiring in the Emergency-
plug is defective.
The vehicle’s airbags have
been activated. The vehicle is
de-energised and cannot make
contact with the Emergency-
plug via the charging port.
The vehicle is safe to
approach. There is no need to
use the Emergency-plug.
