5. For the person outside of the vehicle, gain access to SAFE T PLUS

unit.
Using a socket wrench with a 9/16-inch socket, and loosen Flanged Lock
Nuts on Tie-Rod Bracket U-Bolt and allow the SAFE T PLUS
®
unit to freely
move to its centered position. Once the SAFE T PLUS
®
unit rests at its
centered position, using a torque wrench with a 9/16-inch socket, torque
Tie-Rod Bracket Flanged Lock Nuts to 25-35 foot pounds (Figure 3).
6. Repeat road test until vehicle is able to maintain a straight trajectory. If
centering the SAFE T PLUS
®
unit requires more than 2 or 3 attempts,
