■ Bur Insertion
1. Turn the handle to open the handpiece chuck.
3. Lock the handpiece chuck by turning the handle.
※ Bur connection method is same regardless of the handpiece type.
- Be sure to lock the chuck before use. It may cause damage to the handpiece.
- Make sure that the bur is not damaged.
- Check the Bur dimension. (Bur Dimension:
Φ2.35mm )
OPERATION PROCESS
1. Put up the handpiece and turn on the control box.
(When the power is turned on, the beep sound is ring and the RPM is displayed on the indicator.)
2. Select the operation method by pressing the Hand / Foot Select Button.
When the left light is on, hand is selected, when the right light is on, foot is selected.
3. Select the rotation direction by pressing the Rotation Direction Select Button.When the left light is on,
the forward direction is selected, when the right light is on, the reverse direction is selected.

4. Push the motor button.
5. Control the desired speed by turning the speed
control dial.
6. Handpiece is stopped by re-pressing the motor button.

- The first characters shown on the indicator when the power is turned on are software versions.
- In case of the FORTE 400α and FORTE 400s, when operate the auto calibration, the ‘CAL’ is displayed at the indicator.
- The function is set up when the product is released by manufacturer.
Use the function when user repair or change the product.
■ Maximum Speed Change Functio n (FORTE 400α, FORTE 400s)
It is function to enlarge the maximum speed. FORTE 400α can be enlarged from 40,000 rpm to 50,000 rpm,
FORTE 400s is from 50,000 rpm to 60,000 rpm.After select the hand, press the Hand / Foot Select Button and
Motor Button. Maximum speed is enlarged. Re-press the two buttons, Maximum speed is returned.
■ Overload Protective Function
If handpiece is overloaded, after about 5 seconds, beep sound is ring and the error code (FORTE 400α and FORTE 400s display ‘E3’, FORTE
400Pdisplays ‘E1’) is displayed at the indicator and handpiece is stopped. Hand / Foot Select Button is selected as the hand, this function
can be disabled by pressing the motor button.Re-press the motor button, handpiece can be used.Hand / Foot Select Button is
selected as the foot, this function can be disabled by releasing the foot controller. Re-press the foot controller, handpiece can be used.
■ Handpiece Auto Calibration Function
It is function to calibrate matching the RPM of handpiece and control box automatically. Turn on the power with holding
the motor button, auto calibration is performed. The speed is increased from 0 to maximum, function is completed.
