Grease

Use SAE multi-purpose high temperature grease with extreme pressure (EP) characteristics on all areas requiring grease
lubrication.

Oil (Planetary Gearbox)

All models equipped with the standard planetary gearbox will require

synthetic industrial gear oil

. The following is a list

of equivalent brand name oils that are suitable for use in the planetary gearbox on your Sioux Automation 35 series mixer.

ISO 150 Synthetic Industrial Gear Oil

Esso Terrestic SHP 150

Mobil SHC 629
Enduratex XL Synthetic Blend 150 - (Petro-Can)

Oil (2-speed Transmission)

Models equipped with the 2-speed transmission will require standard gear oil. The suitable oil for use in these compo-
nents is as follows:

ISO 150 Non-Synthetic Industrial Gear Oil

Chevron Gear Compound EP ISO 150

Mobilgear 629

Omala 150 (Shell)

Spartan EP 150 (Esso)

Enduratex EP 150 (Petro-Can)

Note:

All oils are categorized under the AGMA (American Gear Manufacturers Association) standard.

An ISO 150 is equiv-

alent to an AGMA 4.

EP additives = AGMA 4EP.
Synthetic Oil = AGMA 4(S)EP or AGMA 4EP (Synthetic)

Pillow Block Bearing

All 3500 Series trailer models without the 2-speed transmission option are equipped with a pillow block bearing which

supports the front of the driveshaft assembly. The pillow block bearing will require 1 pump of grease every 16 hours and/

or 50 loads.
