CONFIGURATION AND FUNCTION OF MENU
High Temperature Alert / Alarm
The factory default alert for the High Temperature Alert / Alarm is set at 100.4°F for
the Body setting. In the event a temperature is scanned at 100.4°F or above, the device
will beep five times to alert the user. The Alarm will also sound when in Surface Mode.
Battery Low Voltage Detection
If the battery voltage is less than 1.8V, the Non-Contact Professional Thermometer
will beep four times and display the symbol to remind you to recharge
the thermometer in the Charging Cradle.
Charging the Batteries
When the LCD screen displays ”Battery,” the batteries should be charged. Place the
device in the Charging Cradle making sure that the Charging Cradle is connected via
the Power Cord to a wall outlet. When device is appropriately seated in Charging Cradle,
a red LED light will illuminate in the upper right portion of the display window. The red
LED light will remain illuminated until the device is fully charged. While charging and in
the Charging Cradle, the device will display the ambient room temperature on the device
screen. A full battery charges requires approximately 4 hours and will allow a minimum
of 1,000 temperature measurements
Do NOT attempt to remove the Non-Contact Professional Thermometer battery –
doing so will result in a void of instrument warranty.
