Check that you have the correct components as
shown in the package contents, including any fixings.
Note: Your pergola can be shorter than standard by
removing the appropriate amount from the bottom
of each post.
Now lay out the 4 posts and 2 runners in the area
where the pergola is to stand as shown. Try to space
the feet of the posts apart by approximately the
length of one rafter.

Slide the runner into the post, making sure the pre-
drilled hole is uppermost ,the slots in the post and
runner are perfectly aligned and that the post is at
90° to the runner. Secure the post in place with an
65mm screw.
Now add the brace, butting it up against the post and
runner as shown...
